The Biochemistry at Howard Payne is designed so that the students completing a degree in Biochemistry will understand and communicate effectively the basic theories of Chemistry and Biology. Students are encouraged to think critically, reason scientifically and grow spiritually in a Christian context. These students will have a broad foundation in Chemistry and Biology and should be confident and comfortable in their abilities to obtain positions as scientist in the field of Biochemistry. This Biochemistry curriculum is an excellent preparation for medical and dental school as well as biomedical oriented research and graduate studies in biochemistry. In the Physical Science Department at Howard Payne we strive to graduate well-prepared scientists ready to serve as Christian role models in whatever related occupation they choose.
